The attendee list is changing minute by minute as people realise they
can't make it.
Thank you to all for letting everyone know and moving others up from
the waiting list!
Most updates during the week will be via this group and/or Twitter
(@NZGoogleBarcamp) - make sure you keep a close eye on both :-)
WHAT TO EXPECT
----------------------------

When you arrive (8:30am), go to the pre-registration table, where you
can make your nametag (or claim your event T-shirt). Make your way
into the eatery, where you *may* find breakfast (if organizers or
other participants have brought some to share) and lots of people to
socialize with.
We start by gathering together in one space and going around the room
to introduce ourselves with three tags to describe what we're
passionate about (or want to talk about). There will also be some
announcements.
After this, people who intend to lead a session will add their session
info to an empty schedule grid (may be moved around early on). If you
see a session you're interested in, go to it.
After a couple of sessions, you will have a significant amount of
downtime for lunch. Feel free to wander around and socialize while or
after you eat. More announcements will be made, and any newly proposed
sessions will be announced.
After the sessions are finished, please stick around to clean up. It's
generally as simple as throwing trash away and taking down signs, but
all the help is appreciated.
Zendesk (via Justin Flitter) are sponsoring a few after event drinks
and if you're coming along congregate after the clean up and follow
Justin to the chosen venue.
WHAT TO BRING

* Laptop if you want to blog or take notes during the event. Don’t
forget your charger and your screen adaptor if you need to plug into a
projector.
* Business cards: Moo cards come highly recommended. Make sure you
have somewhere safe to store the cards you’re given.
* Scribble notebook & pen: You might not want to have your laptop out
at all times, so pen and paper is essential.
* Power strip: If you can, bring a power bar to plug into the much-
coveted few outlets. It’ll allow more people to benefit from power
during the day.
* Video/photo camera: Immortalise the day in video and photos. Be sure
to upload your content and tag it with the event’s hashtag, #nzgbc,
and put a Creative Commons friendly copyright.
* Money: Some events provide food, thanks to the sponsors, but others
don’t, so come prepared to go buy lunch somewhere nearby.
* Materials: Bring your presentation or demo (if you have one) on a
USB stick or CD.
