A teacher’s job is to encourage the participation of all students
regardless of their learning style. Students’ learning style may
differ from the teacher’s but the aim should be that the students
leave with more than they came with. Dynamic Learners are active
learners who retain and understand best by doing something active with
the information they are given. They may jump into things prematurely
and get into trouble but will continue as if nothing had happened.
Talk about persistence!! They however, are the ones most likely
overlooked, (unless the teacher is also a Dynamic Learner) but the
teacher whose priority is ‘ALL STUDENTS’ should endeavor not to let
anyone feel out of his/her element. FLEXIBILITY IS KEY and the student
who dares to be different will love those teachers who allow them to
be. They love exploration and if not given a little leeway may become
bored and inattentive. These innovators should be allowed to try
things out, see what they can become, analyze- in a safe environment
of course. The teacher should “still” be the teacher as the Dynamic
Learner gets carried away and may sway other students causing major
disruptions and/or irreparable damage.  Most of the technologies we
use today are products of various hits and misses. TEACHERS BEWARE!!
The Dynamic Learner you overlook and ridicule today may very well be
the maker of the product you can’t do without tomorrow.”Mercy unto you
and peace and love multiplied.”

The solution to the distorted views of our young people lies in
revealing to this generation of young people who Christ is and leading
them to properly respond to him. Our young people need to be taught
the foundation which is the truth about Christ, who He is and
understand why He came to earth. Jesus asked his disciples, “Who say
ye that I am?” Peter answered “Thou art Christ, the son of the living
God. Jesus said “Upon this rock I build my church.” Peter’s statement
is the cornerstone of the Christian faith. This is where the church
began, upon the confession of Peter’s faith/believes. Therefore our
young people must understand and believe that Jesus is the son of the
living God which sets the foundation for a true relationship with
Him. It is our responsibility to translate the gospel so that our
young people will understand and live a Christ like life. We need to
stop, take an inventory and look back at what we have been doing wrong
and make changes and sacrifices to train our young people to reach the
standard God want them to be. Our lives should reveal the true nature
of God, should reflect the word of God and the life of Christ.
Children live what they learn; they gravitate towards what they see in
their everyday life. Therefore as parents and leaders we are held
accountable to demonstrate christlike attitudes and behavior. We
should live so that they not only hear the truth but that they will
see the truth in us. The song writer penned. “The only Jesus that
people see is the Jesus in you and me.” So let us live as a true
representative of Jesus Christ as we continue to teach them as Matthew
28:20 “to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.”
I am in total agreement with the three true foundations of Faith. How
we train our children and young people has a great bearing on their
spiritual foundation. The foundation has to be firm for them to be
able to build on it. Therefore they should see God as the creator of
the universe and that we were created to have relations with Him.
However we were robbed of that privilege when Adam and Eve sinned, but
God through his love for us sent his son to redeem us and bring us
back into a relationship with Him. It is then required of us to take
up the cross and follow him through faith, devoted worship and
prayer. For in His presence there is fullness of joy and at His right
hand there are pleasures forevermore. God bless you all.

1. “We must show that it means something to us before we can expect it
to mean anything to them”. TEACH BY EXAMPLE. Let them know that
truthfully, Christianity is not easy and is definitely not for show.
We have to battle our will to stay true to God. Inward convictions
must be revealed outwardly, without contradiction, whatever we SAY
that we DO. We cannot tell them the Lord will provide and ten minutes
later grumble we have no money; instead in everything give thanks.
Rejoice in the Lord ALWAYS, action speaks louder than voice-put away
un-Christian habits, tell ourselves “others may, I cannot.” These
youngsters today are very good imitators, imagine that when we fight
against and shun the very appearance of evil they may quickly follow
suit. We should let them see that Christ does not make unpleasant
demands. He offers what they can get in the world except it is good,
clean and pure.  Enjoyment in the form of watching religious movies
and playing scrabble leave them feeling good all over instead of
waking up with a hangover wondering what they did in a moment of
insanity. Too often they are led to believe that Christianity is
restricting like a straight jacket; show them what we mean when we say
Christ brings freedom. Seek God for Who He is and not as a means to
something else. If we seek other objects and not God alone we may just
get them, minus God of course. The young person may ask “what’s in it
for me?” answer “joy unspeakable”, but we cannot say joy and act as if
we are mourning. If I wake up broke and in pain, at the end of the day
I may still be broke and in pain BUT, my attitude of gratitude may
very well draw someone to check out this God who can cause someone so
much pleasure in the midst of pain. Christianity is void without
righteousness so we cannot accept Christ without forsaking the world.
We cannot be lovers of the world and still be a friend of God;
remember we are living examples, training Joshuas and Timothys and do
not want to mislead either by word or deed. Spiritual work can’t be
done without spiritual power and that must also be entrenched in the
hearts of the younger generation. (Even though I repeatedly say “we
have to teach” or “we have to live”, nothing is possible without the
Holy Spirit.)
2. Without faith it is impossible to please God so our relationship
with Him is dependent on it. True faith rests upon the Character of
God and asks no further proof than that if God said it, it is so. It
removes hopelessness and motivates us so we need to steer the youth in
the direction they ought to go through the Word. I absolutely agree
with the three true foundations of the Faith and when we take steps to
lead the youth via these truths, they will in time bear good fruit
that will remain. REDEMPTION: Before Christ came God used the Law as
punishment to constrain sin in people’s lives. It lessened Satan’s
inroads and made everyone guilty before God with no hope of justice.
We needed mercy and that’s what Christ gave. We are now redeemed
bought with a price, His blood shed ONCE for ALL. We should have been
crucified but not been worthy, God instead placed our sins on Jesus
who took the punishment for us. Paid in full- all we have to do is
believe and receive, His sacrifice is the reason our relationship with
God is changed forever. When we understand and fully appreciate this,
we will live for Jesus with firm faith, unmovable, unshakeable so our
youths will be more encouraged to seek/stay with Him.  RELATIONSHIP:
It all started with Adam and Eve. They had a relationship with God
that all Christians crave today. They walked and talked with God
everyday when it was cool. They were perfectly happy living in a
perfect world, and then came the snake. In order to tempt Eve to sin
he had her believe that God had His own interest at heart. Consider
that they did not know God half as much as we do today. We know Him
through His Word so we are better prepared to resist the devil than
Adam and Eve were. Hosea stated that “My people are destroyed from
lack of knowledge.”  We however, have knowledge through His Word. As
if that wasn’t enough, He gave us His Son. We should live and teach
the youth about the relationship God wants with us again. He longs for
that intimacy where He inhabits His rightful dwelling place our inner
being-that intimately private place that no creature can intrude. Show
and teach that all should LOVE one another as Christ love the Church.
They should know that we have a Living purpose and a purpose for
living and we cannot do it by ourselves. Obedience to the call of
Christ is a huge promotion, much higher than any job they may have or
hope to attain, so the message should be clear. RESTORATION: The basic
concept of restoration is to turn back; to be complete; to make whole
again. The root of all evil in human nature is the corruption of the
will. When we change our moral purpose we change the soul’s direction.
Restoration is up to us because Christ already did His part. He is
angry because of our sins but His anger will not keep forever. We must
return to God or we have no hope of being saved. Christ is the Way and
enters only by invitation of faith. “Behold I stand at the door and
knock, if any man hears My voice and opens the door I will come in..”
He wants to reestablish residence in our heart so our joy will be
full. Going through the motions of baptism, church membership,
speaking in tongues are merely snares, deceiving one into false sense
of security if the “Spirit Himself does not bear witness with our
spirit that we are children of God.” We need to change our moral and
spiritual compass as only true conviction, not nominal belief, will
get/keep us closer to God. He will erase our sins so we get a
refreshing from His presence only when we focus on: God’s priorities;
our return to godly living and causing our hearts to be ruled by God.
What does this all mean for our youths?  For those of us who have
children an important place to start is in the home. Let them see that
the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, that when we do spiritual
battle at home that’s what we take to church on Sunday. How strange it
must seem to them when we are silent at home but go to church
‘blazing’, they must be wondering what got into us. (In Jamaican
vernacular ‘ learn to dance a yawd before you go abroad.’) One of the
most remarkable declarations in the New Testament is this “The true
worshippers shall worship the Father… He is Spirit… those who worship
must worship in spirit and in truth.” Let us therefore teach by
example so the young people will take their rightful place and know
that “NO RESTORATION, NO MARRIAGE SUPPER”, either eternal life or
eternal damnation.

The last Christian generation pages 67-85
1. “The solution lies in revealing to this generation of young people
who Christ is and leading them to properly respond to him”
It is our duty to teach our young people how to Love God and develop a
personal intimate relationship with him through our relationship with
him. We should not just speak about living righteously and this
wonderful relationship we have with God, we should live it. Live a
Christ like life so that it exudes through us that our young people
also have the desire to know him for themselves. We don’t just want to
tell our young people about his grace and mercy but we want to be the
model and show them how his grace and mercy carried you through. The
relationship with him is more intricate than any other but it is a
process, I thank God daily for being a work in progress traveling
through the process of being closer to him. Our young people and
others with whom we encounter should see there is something that is
different something that tells them and shows them “It’s the God in
You”. The longing our young people will have for a relationship with
God will change distorted views and lives. We need to rebuild on a
true foundation, Modeling first then proclaiming the true revelation
to God.

2. Do you agree with the Three True Foundations of the Faith?
Yes I do agree with the three true foundations of faith. It’s
necessary for us to reestablish a true foundation for our young people
to grow and develop with in their walk with God.
1. The God of redemption who gave his very life – God accepts us
unconditionally. Encourage our young people to become a living
sacrifice, through developing a life of firm faith, devoted worship of
God, and effectual prayer.
2. The God of relationships who gave his spirit and the word – God
wants to live within him. God responds to our faith, worship, and
prayer. Show our young people to love others as we love ourselves and
following his ways by making Godly choices.
3. The God of restoration who gave us his body (The Church) – God
wants to restore things back to the way it was in the beginning the
way he created it to be. The church serves as the body the instrument
used to restore Once our young people understand they will get on
board with reestablishing the kingdom.

Revealing to this generation of young people who Christ is a
challenge, and it is one parents and youth leaders/workers must face
with boldness and with the help of the Holy Spirit who is with us to
lead us and guide us into all truths. This is not something we can do
on our own by flesh and blood, but by the Holy Spirit who is able to
convict them of who the Truth really is and to lead them to properly
respond to Him by faith. our message to them must be clear and the
lives that we live must exemplified our faith, Christ who is the
author and the finisher of our faith. "He is the image of the
invisible God, the firstborn over creation. For by Him all things were
created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether
thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by
Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold
together. And He is the head of the body, the church: He is the
beginning and the firstborn among the dead, so that in everything He
might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness
dwell in Him, and through him to reconciled to himself all things,
whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through
his blood, shed on the cross".Colossians 1:15-20. These verses has
really portrayed who Christ is and there is no one who can compare to
Him. He is Lord of all and the only way to life eternal, for He is
life. We also need to reveal to our young generation who Satan is and
his final end; He is the deceiver, a liar, the father of lies, our
accuser, whose purpose is to cause us to miss the plan of salvation
that God has for us so our end could be like his, being cast into the
lake of fire where he shall be tormented day and night for ever and
ever according to Rev. 20:10.
Yes, I do agree with the Three True Foundations of the Faith which
are: (1)The God of redemption who gave his very life, (2)The God of
relationships who gave his Spirit and the word and (3)The God of
restoration who gave us his body. I believe teaching the young
generation the biblical truths mentioned with speech they understand
will dispel all myths and distorted views that they hold and that they
will be set free to believe and respond to the gospel of Jesus Christ
which is spirit and life. For faith come by hearing, hearing by the
word of God. Romans 10:17.

1. Comment “the solution lies in revealing to this generation of young
people who Christ is and leading them to properly respond to him”
We youth leaders have a heavy responsibility. Our job is to, “pass the
Christian baton” so to speak. We must transfer the knowledge of the
God whom we dearly love to our young people. McDowell says “this
generation does not know God like the people of previous generations.”
I agree. McDowell shares the story of Sarah, which I love. Her father
was off at war and she only had images and stories from her mother to
live off of, yet she fell in love with her father, a man she never
met. The same is true for the young people of this generation. Many
are not familiar with Biblical wonders, stories and parables of the
wonders of almighty God. It is therefore our job to transfer the love,
knowledge and understanding of God to this generation so they can fall
in love, do what pleases Him and make it a point to meet Him face to
face.

2. Do you agree with the Three True Foundations of the Faith?
Although I am familiar with these foundations, I have never heard of
them referred to as “three true foundations” until reading this book.
I am in total agreement with these foundations. #1.“The God of
redemption who gave his very life”. Like McDowell states, “many young
people have failed to grasp both the depth of their sin and depravity
and God’s marvelous love revealed in his redemptive heart.” In a
nutshell, this generation needs to be aware that God’s heart is big,
deep and wide. He loves us in spite of….. that’s what makes Him God.
#2.“The God of relationships who gave his spirit and the word”
transfers to the key word -> relationship. God desires relationship
with us. He wants us to desire to know him on an intimate level. This
is a very important message for this generation to be aware of.
#3.“The God of restoration who gave us his body” means that we serve a
God who can put things that were once severed, together again. These
foundations must be taught so that this generation can understand that
the God of Christianity loves them, wants a relationship and fix
broken things in their lives. I believe when they truly understand
this, they will willing follow the ways and teachings of Christ.

As we were thought in the previous chapter it is important to explore
the different learning h styles otherwise we will miss more than a
few students. Besides if we let the children do whatever they want
then what would be our purpose in being a teacher. We have to be able
to face the challenge of learning our students and coming up with ways
to get the word to them in an effective way. If we allow them to just
take over then they will not learn anything new cause they wiil only
be doing things the easy that they think it should be so we just need
to stand our ground

To comment on "the solution lies in revealing to this generation of young people who Christ
is and leading them to properly respond to him" I agree that as adults, parents and youth
leaders we are responsible to teach our youths about the risen Lord, but most of all to live a
Godly life that they will see us as dedicated to God and to love and help others in our daily
walk with Christ.  I like the story Mr. McDowell told about Sarah and her family, I think that's
a very good example.

I do agree with the Three True Foundations of the Faith, I especially agree with the author's statement
of "Building from the True Foundations."  Reintroduce God to this generation for who he reallys is
(God of redemption, relationships and restoration), to urge our young people to live a life of Faith,
Worship, Prayer, Loving others, Making Godly choices, Spiritual warfare and Spiritual reproduction."
