Hi, my name Is Matt Hendrickson. I have 3 siblings, one older sister,
and 2 younger half brothers. Currently I am part of a Royal Ranger
outpost in East Northport, and this coming fall my church is looking
to start it's own Ranger outpost which my Pastor has asked me to lead.
I am a part of New Life Church of God in Commack. When I was a week
away from my 21st birthday I had accepted Christ while attending
Suffolk Community College. Since that point I attended a couple other
churches in the years leading up to my finding New Life where I helped
with various ministries within the churches including youth, worship,
media, filming services for public access and whatever other needs the
church had where I felt God calling me to help. I've enjoyed working
with the youth group, and the last several years as a Ranger Commander
I've worked with Elementary school kids.

That is truely amazing how the lord works. IT is a blessing to hear of
the good things that the lord is doing in the lives of young believers
like myself. I am not sure what royal rangers are but I am sure it
would be fun to find out. Be blessed.

Hi,
The journey for each of us has been different, but we all have the
same God guiding through to the end. The Royal Ranger program is
similar to the Boy Scouts. It is a Christian ministry started within
the Assemblies of God about 50 years ago. We only have a couple of
kids in my church that are in the right age group, but many outposts
have kids from outside the church in the surrounding communities who
either go to other churches, or in some cases don't go to church. With
the kids every week we do a bible study, merit badges and other
programs depending on the specific age group. I like the program so
much that when my job kept me from being involved in my old outpost, I
found one closer to home where I can share my experiences with the
kids.

Hi,
I look forward to sharing my experiences within the Royal Rangers
within the class. With the Assmeblies of God and the Church of God
teachings being very similar we can have an outpost as a Co-op church.
My church 30 years ago did have an outpost, but as membership declined
the outpost closed down. Now I'm looking forward to rechartering the
outpost and make an impact throughout the community.

Hi Peg,
The Royal Rangers is part of the Assmeblies of God. We were started as a Christian alternative to Boy Scouts. Where Scouts have to believe in any one of the many gods that are out there or risk being kicked out, we teach about the God who loves us so much that He gave His only son to die in our place for our sins.

Hello everyone!
My apologies for my late response, I was having technical difficulties
with the system. However, I did read some of your introductions and it
seems like this is going to be a very exciting journey! My name is
Mary Vazquez. I am 32 years old. I have been married to a wonderful
U.S. ARMY soldier for 14 years and we have two children. I am a
licensed Master Social Worker in the State of NY and work as a
counselor in a local agency. Being a military family has given us the
opportunity to be in many places, and since December 2009 we have been
stationed in Fort Drum NY. We are part of the Church of God Soldiers
of Jesus Christ in Watertown, NY where my husband and I are working as
Youth Pastors and have been truly blessed with a wonderful group of
teenagers. My Spiritual Journey started when God decided to take us to
a very small town in Germany in 2003. There, where we thought that
there was no hope for our life, our family, our marriage, God showed
us that in Him we can have all we need and much more. Since then my
life has never been the same... I'm pretty sure you all know that
feeling :) Really looking forward to work with all of you. Blessings,
Mary Vazquez

Hi Mary, and a warm welcome. First of all a big 'Thank You' to you and your immediate military family for your sacrificial giving of your time, talent and energy in being a vital part of the thousands of courageous men and women; who helped to secure our freedom that we enjoy in America today.

From your post I could see how you are using the Lord's gift of freedom and favor to reflect the character and love of Christ in the youth in your church and community.
I am looking forward to hearing more about it in your responses.

I shared your post with my son, Stephen, who is leaving for Fort Benning in Georgia on Feb 6th. After 9 months of Basic Training there, he will be shipped out to Germany and then on to the raging battles in the Middle East. (Please keep my son in prayer as he begins this honorable but difficult career.)

Mary, may you continue to serve and minister to others as examples of true liberators in Christ. And may you continue to win the war for Jesus and be a light for Him in helping to free the youths in our world.
Blessings,
Debbie Derrick

I am Evanglist Mack-Allen the mother of two children. family is
growing in faith. My part in the ministry is toward the youth, and it
has been very challenging. So much that I am gaining through as we are
seeing the children grow in the word and knowledge of the word of god.

It has not been an easy run but, through christ we can do it. Just
keep on keeping on. God is real, and that is all that realy matters.

God bless,

Evanglist Mack Allen
