Phase III
A. The four stages of learning a new task or skill, and what is the
role of the Leader at each stage?:
1. Novice
2. Apprentice
3. Journeyman
4. Master/Teacher
The role of the leader at each stage is: To bring a clear
understanding of the journey through each stage
as the leader is committed to the development of our youths and to
welcome them into the learning process, and invest time
and energy to teach and disciple. We as leaders must help our
youths to get excited about their lives, and to guide
them along the way and give them the tools they need (the
disciplines, and all that we have learned), that will advance
our precious young people through the learning process, and become
master teachers.
At each stage, a servant leader will stay focus and give extensive,
basic, and clear instructions on what to do, and how to
do it, like Jesus did with His disciples and take them from the
call "...come follow me...to the great commission "....go
ye therefore into all the world..." Leaders must be effective,
accept responsibility, and be alert to the peer pressures,
apathy, and a feeling of lost competence or connection our young
people can be challenged with. We can achieve master teachers,
in each group of our youths in the Blessed Church of God, youths
with confidence, fully developed skills, and motivation to
produce excellent results as an individual child of God, and wisdom
and insight to be living examples, dare to be a Daniel
and pass on what we teach them to the next generation of learners -
and I gave them my blessing, my time, God has provided a
new job for me ...(Thanks Dr. Smith for that seven days prophecy
you delivered at our Church, it did manifested in my life...) which
will allowed me the time I was yearning for to go to Bible School for
higher learning, I am tempted to do other things with that time come
September,
but thanks be to God, I will do my spiritual learning as I
promised, so I can be a better leader and Lead like Jesus, thanks to
this course.
B. The five habits Jesus applied that countered the negative forces in
His life:
1. Solitude
2. Prayer
3. Study and Application of Scripture
4. Accepting and Responding to God's unconditional love
5. Involvement in supportive relationships
My view on - An Accountability Group Model is:
Jesus is our Servant Leader and He did live the AGM lifestyle, he
asked the woman at the well
personal questions, she had to fess up. He teaches us to be
vulnerable, to be thruthful, to be human, "... and people
sometimes know our imperfections long before we reveal them." pg.
182.
We need to be real, young people do not like fake people, if in the
past or present, we were or we are struggling
with an issue we see them struggling with we should share it, this
will help them to receive your feedback with
joy and we will all be able to bond together as a team, we are our
brother's keeper. This can be done for us as Leaders or during
our Youth Group Services.
C. As a Leader, I can use this AGM to help my students become better
Christians by:
Being an example of the believers, to lead like Jesus, to apply the
five key habits that countered the negative
forces in Jesus life to my life, to be effective, to listen to our
young people, to have compassion for them, to
disclose and share task-relevant information, be confidential, give
advise only as requested, and do not perform
any "open heart surgery"....I will leave that to the Holy Spirit,
and hopefully by God's grace my students will become
better Christians, but the main one is for me to be an example.
