Nyx trashes my .newsrc

[Howard Rubin - change nospam to nyx]

Apparently there's a fix available.
Can we look into copying it in?

It triggers the equivalent of "rn -c" which has been trashing .newsrc
files since we changed to the "sucking" system of news. I seem to rember
that it replaces the lisitings of newgroups with a line repeated over and
over dropping out characters each time.

I have yet to find anything in the default login stuff that calls for rn
in any way shape or form. Any thoughts?
