I had a black cat named for the ancient Greek goddess of night, Nyx. He
ran off, perhaps miffed that he should be named for a woman! What is
your nyx?

Nyx, the Spirit of the Night, is the oldest free public access
Internet Provider in the U.S. It was founded by Andrew Burt
at the University of Denver in 1987 and spun off to its own
501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in 1997. For a short time
period it was located in downtown Denver and then moved in
1998 to Boulder, Colorado. Currently the Board of Directors
(Trygve Lode, Terry Knab and me) are working on a plan to
move Nyx to Douglas County.

For more information about Nyx visit http://www.nyx.net or
telnet to nyx.nyx.net or have your modem dial 303-871-9840.
