Hello NYU Team, I am excited to meet with you on June 12th to help you complete your visa forms and resolve your visa application doubts.
Please READ this Beca Cometa VISA GUIDE before our meeting so you come prepared to our meeting: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1up7eLt-amkqaiqgicpNRApzc52spBMFZ/view
The GUIDE cannot be shared with anyone outside of the Beca Cometa group.
After all of you complete your ds160 visa application form with me, and fill out your visa appointment form with me , and provide me with the specific I20 data I need, I will proceed to ask Mafe to make the credit card payments associated with scheduling your visa appointments (visa appointment fee + SEVIS fee).
Thus far we have not had any trouble at all finding visa appointment dates.
To complete the visa forms I ask that you all to bring your passports and I20s documents to our meeting , as well as a digital photo with FONDO BLANCO. You should not take any pictures with glasses, or earings, or cerquillos or piercings.
IF you've traveled to the USA before or if you have travelled outside of Peru in the last five years you need to write down the exact dates of those travels as well as the previous U.S. Visa numbers you have ever received.
(If this applies to you.)
Additionally write down the street address of your recent high school so you can add that information to your form.
Everything is going to run smoothly so long as you:
1) bring all the information listed above
2) read the Beca cometa visa guide carefully &
3) are 100% honest with me and with everything your write down in visa the application form.
The number one reason kids get denied visas is because they lie on their forms, lie to the consular officer during their interview, and because they arrive unprepared to their visa interview without being able to present the evidence or clear answers required.
After we pay for your visa appointments I will schedule ANOTHER meeting where we will review the Beca Cometa interview guide and tips from previous delegations that have already passed their visa interviews successfully.
I shall also schedule that on your calendars with much anticipation.
See you,
Kelly
