NYU Progress Report

Hi Kelly. I hope this message finds you well. Here we share our NYU delegation progress report:

I-20 UPDATES

By the end of last week, all the delegation had sent their I-20 application. So far Daniel Chumpitaz is the only one who hasn't received the I-20 document yet (Estrella, Matías, Jackeline, Nicole, Cielo, Tayra and I already have it). I have contacted the NYU Globar Services office and they say that the application is still within the processing timeline (as the approval process takes between 10 business days) and that they will be contacting him in case any clarification or additional information is needed. As soon as he receives his I-20 we will send you an email to inform you that the delegation is ready to start with the visa process.

|| If you could give us some information about the following steps, we would highly appreciate it, as it would help us to prepare better and have a clearer idea of them. ||

HOUSING PAYMENTS:

To date, we haven't received any confirmation mail about the housing payments. We only received the automated message the day the payments were made (we have shared the screenshots with Matías who is sending them to you for monitoring).

|| As soon as we have any updates on the matter we will be sending the screenshots to Lauren as Mafe indicated to us. ||

NEXT STEPS:

1. Health documentation_ NYU is asking to complete some health requirements. We have to present proof of measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) and meningitis vaccination and complete some other related forms.

2. School reports_ NYU requires international students to submit final transcripts and relevant proof of graduation or final exam documents. They are partnered with the Educational Credential Evaluators who are the ones in charge of evaluating and approving the documentation. In the case of IB graduate students, we are only asked to send our final grades through the official IB platform.

|| The delegation will be reuniting next week to investigate better the requirements in both matters and explore the options NYU is giving us to fulfill them. We will be sending updates on these in the next progress report ||

Monday 03/06 update:

I-20 process Concluded

To date, all the NYU Cometa delegation has received their I-20 and we are preparing for our Visa meeting on June 12th.

In the email text I gave a link with a Beca Cometa visa guide so you know what to bring!

Important for you to know from Wednesday - Friday I am out of the office.

So I will be happy to resolve questions up until tomorrow and then all next week I will be back!
