Start of the week update #3 | 24/07/24

Good morning dear Kelly and delegation! 

Hoping you are having a great Wednesday. Here I share the most recent updates and what is to come for this week 

PAYMENTS.- 

We want to inform you that our bill for the fall semester is ready to be paid. It needs to be completed before August 6th, following the same steps as when paying our housing fee. (NYU only accepts payments by check, Western Union, and Flywire. Credit card payment is not allowed.)

NYU offers the option to have authorized users easily access our bursar accounts and complete payments. Here I share a little video. We only need the e-mail of the person, and we can easily add them.

FLIGHTS AND MOVE-INS

NYU requires their students to inform their flights and arrival dates, so they have everything ready and allow us to access our buildings. We have already selected our arrival date as the 24th of August, as the move-in appointments run out fast, we have been contacting the NYU office for them to allow all the delegation to move in to the university on the same date and time. 

We are still waiting for everyone to have their passports in hand, as soon as we all have them we will notify you and Cometa so that you can start buying our flights. We have some questions about it, we would prefer to travel late in the night so that we can arrive at the first time in the morning to have a more comfortable move-in process.

HEALTH INSURANCE & HEALTH SERVICES.-

You will be receiving our report on the Health Services offered by NYU in detail. I want to thank Dani who has also shared very detailed information about the mental health services and is going to be really helpful for us.

NOTES:

• Not everyone has received the information about their housing yet, nor have our plane tickets, however, we all have our move-in appointments for the 24th.
  
• NYU has a video series that covers each section of the payment process. You can find it here.
• You will receive a video tutorial on how to access our bursar account.
• Our advance is available on our NYU station

Hello Grace and NYU Delegation,

Thank you for the update.

Here's some important info Id like to share with you all.

1) I have sent all captains a request to answer a few additional questions about payments so that we can have all the information and links and dates and amounts super clear in order to begin with Mafe programming payments in the coming weeks. Please complete that email task with Matias. You've already done most of the work I have requested there but still review the email and send me the exsct info I requested. 

Mafe is the authorized person for making your bulling payments and in my captains email i shared you should assign her as the authorized person to get notifications of your bills and to have easy access to your accounts.

2) I'll take into consideration your flight arrival times requests (morning). That is what we have been doing for other delegations. Listening to their captains and trying to find the best and safest flights to the US.

3) Due to the feriado nacional yesterday I wasnt able to go pick up visas  but I will be going tomorrow (Thursday). I will pick up estrellas/tayras/nicoles visas and send an email to them and to becas with the photo of their visa information. Ill be safekeeping their passports at my home.

4) Glad to know your medical health services and insurance research is moving forward well. Theres a lot you will have available to you all at NYU and by redearching now and sharing with your delegations what you find you will ensure everyone knows HOW to make use of these great services we are paying for and WHERE to go to find out more.
