For the physics lab, we will not use a typical paper-and-ink manual. The syllabus says 'you will need the General Physics I laboratory manual', but the "manual" is referring to the lab's website at http://physics.nyu.edu/~physlab/GenPhysI_PhysII/genphys1.html
I just emailed Prof. Hogg and he confirmed this. The syllabus just meant that you should see the website and print the relevant documents before each lab.
For the Syllabus, click here http://cosmo.nyu.edu/hogg/gp1/ .
(For some cool stuff about Prof. Hogg, click here for his personal blog: http://hoggresearch.blogspot.com/ and click here for his CV and background: http://cosmo.nyu.edu/hogg/hogg_cv.pdf . Notice that the latest entries on his blog were posted this morning, so he's actively thinking about his new research even while organizing his course. Based on the info online here and the funniest-lecture-ever that we heard yesterday, I think he's the most awesome teacher I ever had at NYU.)
Best,
