Last day for nominations! Vote for Jones because he is awesome! I
don't see that he has won in the past, and who knows how much longer
he will be teaching? His class has been a relief from the many
lecturers who distribute outlines and then spend class reading from
them (and boring us to death). Jones makes you THINK! NYU needs more
professors like him, who are passionate about the material and care
about making a difficult subject exciting and fascinating.

Dear CAS Students,

Do you have a professor who is an outstanding teacher? Or a
laboratory
or recitation instructor who does an extraordinary job in the
classroom? Now is
the time to nominate that person for one of the College's teaching
awards. Each
year the College presents the Golden Dozen Award to twelve members of
the
regular full-time faculty; a similar number of adjunct faculty members
receive
the College's Outstanding Teaching Award.

The Golden Dozen website is now open
(http://www.nyu.edu/cas/teachingawards) and you can use it to nominate
a
favorite teacher. It's fast, easy, and an excellent way to recognize
your best
teachers for their contributions to undergraduate education.

Nominations are accepted until March 25, 2011; please take a few
moments
to tell us about a teacher who has inspired you.

All best,

Matthew Santirocco
