Dear Parents, Guardians and Caregivers,

Another exciting school year is about to begin.  Although the first day of class is still a month away, behind the scenes the Montclair Public Schools is already in full swing.  It’s all hands on deck as we make extensive preparations in our school buildings for a safe and productive 2022-2023 school experience.  It’s with great pride that we are freshening up our hallways and classrooms as we await the smiling faces of our new and returning students.   You can be sure that the Montclair Public Schools will be ready with a warm welcome for students on September 6th.

As always, we strive to be responsive to our students, staff and families, therefore, the Montclair Board of Education, Superintendent and Administrative Staff have made the following modifications to our original school calendar:

Tuesday, September 6th, first day of school for students (moved from Wednesday, September 7th)

Monday, October 24th, DiWali Holiday, District closed (new)

Tuesday, November 8th, Election Day, Professional Development, School closed for students(added PD day)

Monday-Thursday, April 3-6th, Spring Break (moved from April 10-14, 2023)

Tuesday, June 6th, Primary Election, Professional Development, School closed for students(added PD day)

Monday, June 19th, Juneteenth, District Closed (moved from Friday, June 16th – Federal Holiday recognition)

Thursday, June 22nd, last day of school for students (moved from Tuesday, June 27th – to accommodate an earlier end-of-school date)

We hope that everyone enjoys this last bit of summer, and in just a few short weeks we will allcome together to welcome a new and exciting school year.
