Yeah, that was a great match! He's now beaten both Lin Shidong and Wang Chuqin. What surprised me though is that more people don't use the tactic he used.
I've discussed it before--he's acting like a tennis player and serving extremely fast services. When you do that, most people can't make a quality return which means, if you can anticipete where the ball is going, you'll get, in most cases, an easy put-away.
Which means, against most players, you can win the match on your serve alone. I think this tactic is especially good when you're playing against people who play with the opposite hand as in a lefty vs. righty match.
Anyhow, it'll be interesting to see how many ranking points Lind picked up this past week. The rankings usually get updated sometime around 8 pm on Monday nights--tonight--for us.
