Google Group Based Access Control

We're considering deploying Library for things like On-boarding resources, as well as HR/POps guides, and Manager Resources.

While some of these sites will be open to any internal users, some might need access control, we'll be using Google OAuth for login, is there a way to use Google Groups for Access control to certain resources?

We also plan to use Google "Shared Drives" for the root folder of sites, in order to control who can create content for a given wiki. Is write (the Shared Drive) and read (the wiki) access controlled separately? Or does read access inherit from Drive access?
