It was lovely to meet and connect with so many people amidst the good
vibrations of NYPL Labs and Maps.

All,

For those interested in working with our historical map raster layers, single sheet per borough or atlas composites, those can easily plug in to GIS or leaflet as .wms via public link and also as geotiff, for which you'll need to talk to me about access first. All materials are PD. We have several thousand for NYC... Sheet maps starting in colonial NYC and atlases from the 1850s.

thanks so much for an awesome time everyone. i showed up knowing no one but Riordan and felt super alienated, but i left feeling like a G. even better, i feel as though i've finally experienced a successful, enjoyable hackathon. i've been gushing about to to all my CfA and civic tech buddies here at Personal Democracy Forum. +1 all around.
