Good news; after nearly a week without power, the data center is finally back online.

This means we've been able to bring Menus, Stereo, and Maps back up, and IT's revived the website, the ILS, the repository, and the development environment.

From the looks of things the building will also be reopening SASB on Monday as well.

If you're interested, here's Jane's full update:

Good Afternoon,

The data center finally got power around 7am this morning.  I think we were one of the last in Manhattan.  The supporting environmental systems in the data center (e.g.  UPS, cooling, monitoring) are running well.  Nearly all our systems are also back online, with just a few more left and anticipated within the hour.  We lost no data.  The ILS has been operating in off-line mode since this past Wednesday, and the transactions will need to be uploaded to the system tonight / tomorrow.  We will continue to use off-line circ until end of day today.  Please note, to avoid any issues, we have disabled logins to the ILS.  By Monday, we should be good to go.  The Bibliocommons connector is functioning and my account is operational as well. All our WAN connections are operational, with the exception of Port Richmond and New Dorp on Staten Island.  Wifi and Internet are at full service.  Splash pages are up and filtering is in place.  Phones and voicemail are now fully operational.  ASK NYPL will continue to operate at MM until Monday, when the return to SIBL is planned.

All in all, we did well under the circumstances.  Jay Haque, Richard Stalzer, Michelle Gordon, Bob Fornabaio, and Judy Johnson and their teams performed exceptionally well.  They are all to be commended.

Our next check-in call is at 4pm.  If there is anything new to highlight, I will update you.

I'm looking forward to Monday when we can all breathe a sigh of relief!

Best,
Jane
