Laerte
Good to meet you too.
Mark russinovich wrote that book, I didn't. this is the 6th edition of the classic in print right now.
Justin dearing and I were part of a study group for windows internals and we wrote chapter notes thinking someone else might find it useful.
Last year around this time, once a week, we would do google hangouts and discuss chapters.
I created some mind-maps also for understanding different API concepts.
I welcome you to this journey. Be warned this this will be one of the toughest things you would have to tackle and somewhat midway through that journey you will begin to appreciate the beautiful architecture of windows.
There is a mailing list where Justin carefully added links to various university courses and other materials which discuss windows internals
I am ccing the group and you can join that if you wish.
Thanks
Sunny
Hi Sunny, Laerte is here.
I am pretty sure that I will love these books and very cool to meet someone that wrote it.
I am a SQL Server DBA, but since I’ve started to work with PowerShell, lets say that I am in love with Windows , The internals of it, WMI, Win32..etc..
It seems that I am moving out from Databases hehehe. It is a fantastic world.
Thanks J
