Hi Everyone,

The NYPTA fall conference could be a valuable opportunity for mobility managers, if the program was improved, and that is what I propose to do.

I’ve propose there be a mobility management track on Thursday, from 9 – 12:45.

There would be  three sessions periods:

1.       9:00-10:00  - Mobility Management Issues  in NYS

2.       10:05-11:30 – Mobility Monagement Roundtable:  Robert Stanley, Katherine Freund & Sheryl Gross-Glasser

3.       11:45 – 12:45 – Roundtable  Open Mike

Robert Stanley comes to mobility management from his work in public transit. I think Bob’s work as the lead author of TCRP Report 97 – “Emerging New Paradigms” continues to be relevent to challenges faced by public transit in 10 years after it was published. Bob is a national speaker at public transit and mobility management conferences.

Katherine Freund is the Founder and President of ITNAmerica, Inc. a national non-profit organizing community mobility services. Tompkins County partnered with ITNAmerica in its ITNEverywhere development project. Many mobility managers want to know more about ITNEverywhere and Katherine will be at NYPTA to speak about it.

Sheryl Gross-Glasser is Director of the Partnership for Mobility Management, a national resource network for mobility management in the US. The Partenrship is part of the CTAA, APTA, Easter Seals Project Action collaboration which launched the Institute for Mobility Management under FTA.

With these three national-level resource persons at NYPTA, I want to provide sufficient quality time for you to talk with them.

So, I welcome your questions, comments and feedback about the proposed mobility management track on Thursday.

Also, there would be a one day registration, eligible for RTAP reimbursement.

Would you come to NYPTA on Thursday Sept 12 for this MM Program?

Please get back to me with your decision.

Hi Everyone,

GREAT NEWS!!  The Mobility Management Track program on Thursday is approved !!!. Go NYPTA! So we are going ahead with the new program.
I have a few details to add.

9-10 am Mobility Management Issues in NY

While this is an open discussion, I encourage people, with a specific topic to discuss, to prepare a maximum 5 minute-5 slide presentation to give at the meeting. There are six available slots for 5 min presentations.

The first 6 people who send me their presentation get a slot.

Further, the response to this program change is strong. Five people responded within 30 minutes of my email.

How to pay for the conference with RTAP.
