End of June update

It's been a couple of weeks since the last update and there is a big batch of news to get out!
There has been a schedule change. The Barge Chaser Race in August will be moved from Saturday Aug 23 to Saturday Aug 30. This will avoid competing with the Wells Bridge canoe races. Otherwise everything else will be the same. 11 am start at the Kiwanis Boat Launch, etc. See the Barge Chaser wiki page for details.
Thanks to Danielle Gillespie and Kelly Gelinas, there are now hundreds of photos online of the Madrid Canoe Regatta weekend. The photos are hosted on Adam Gelinas' and Danielle's facebook pages.

According to several paddlers who are long time attendees, the Towpath regatta had quite a few more competitors than in recent years, and the charity food drive in memory of Uncle Don Patneaude was a great success. Though he has passed, Uncle Donnie is still a driving influence on the sport he loved.
The Daily Gazette has a number of photos of the race.
The Tupper Lake Nine Miler and Saranac Flatwater Challenge results are up.
This year , the Armond Bassett Canoe and Kayak Race is hosting a pro C2 race as well as the traditional C1 Pro race. Armond Bassett is a Pro Points qualifying race, so if you're in the running for money, put it on your calendar! Armond Bassett is also one of the two remaining Barton Cup qualifying races.
