SeneCA MONSTER CHALLENGE

Date: Saturday, August 3, 2019 - 6am, Watkins Glen

We need a handful of experienced marathon paddlers willing to try out this epic challenge.

• Location: Watkins Glen, NY to Geneva, NY
• Distance: 35 miles
• Registration: 6:00AM-6:30AM Aug 3rd
• Start: Mandatory paddler's meeting 6:30AM, Start at 7:00AM from Clute Park in Watkins Glen.
• Entry Fee: $20 per paddler. All paddlers must be registered and insured.

• Classes: Most standard NYMCRA classes . No pro boats, please. If the lake gets roaring, you probably can't stay upright.
• Course Type: Open water on a lake with 35 miles of fetch. Could be calm or nearly impossible.

Course Description: The whole lake, from Clute Park in Watkins Glen in the south to Geneva at the north (the kayak launch) end.

Registration will require that you name a support person and provide their cell number.

Life jackets must be worn. Safety whistle required. Carry a cell phone in a waterproof pouch to call us and your support crew if you have to quit.
