A great race day on the Seneca-Cayuga canal

Hi all,

Thanks to all the great folks who joined us today for our first race (on the organizing side).  Terrific community.

We got our final permits and approvals just 3 weeks ago, so we expect to have much, much more time to advertise and to get this on the calendars for 2015. I'm convinced this is going to grow into a major event!

Congrats to Ben and Michael Schlimmer, who took first overall.  And to Glen Vanderwinckel and Annie R, who win my "race director's favorite boat" award.  Nothing but thanks as a prize.

The USCA was great- responsive and totally reasonable on insurance forms and deadlines.
