Hello all,
Some Cabbage Whites and even Orange Sulphur were out in N.Y. City by Sunday March 3rd, when temps reached into the low 70s in a few places, and more-widely into upper 60s F. More widespread seeming were Eastern Comma and especially, Mourning Cloaks, which I myself observed in Rockland County, NY March 3rd.
Many additional types of insects were also coming out by Sunday, in the warmth of that days sunshine at least as seen in the rocky hilltops of one small mountain at Nyack, Rockland County NY on 3/3.
good observations to all.
