Dear Angela, Diane, and Sonia,

I hope this finds you all well.

I am reaching out because the Rutgers Anthro department (New Brunswick) is seeking someone to teach a few Linguistic Anthropology courses next year.  Specifically we need someone to teach Anthro 108 the undergrad Introduction to Linguistic Anthropology course, Language, Culture & Society,  in both the fall and spring semester and then possible one other course in the spring which could be one of the following - Language and Social Diversity, Language, Food, and Society or Learning an Endangered Language - but could also potentially be another course.

I am reaching out to you because I thought between the three of you, you likely know all the emerging linguistic anthro talent in the tri-state area! While we very much hope that we can run a search for  a tenure track position in Linguistic Anthropology soon, for AY 2025-2026 we will need to cover these courses with a part time lecturer.  Do you know a recent graduate for whom it might make sense to get some teaching experience next year? 108 is a mid-size (50-100) lecture class but the individual would have teaching assistant(s) working with them.   If you could please ask anyone who might be interested in teaching these courses for us next year to send me an email with their CV I would be very grateful.

Thank you in advance for any leads.
Best,
Zeynep
