Last few months, Hindus have been subjected to unspeakable crimes in Bangladesh. Even a monk has been jailed for speaking up. For years, Hindu Bangladeshis have faced religious cleansing, forced conversions, rapes, murders, usurping of their properties. And the world has paid scant attention to their plight. As they say - when there are no consequences to bad behavior, it tends to repeat. No more!
India is destined to realize its true potential – its trajectory leading to a place of spiritual, moral and intellectual leadership. Through the long arc of history, Hindu civilization has never embarked on world conquests, trying to beat down other cultures, killing and maiming thousands through inquests or proselytizing whole continents and subjugating them through the centuries. And yet, they come after India repeatedly – hundreds of temples were razed to the ground or converted to mosques, millions subjugated to jizya tax and forced conversions. Invaders destroyed the Somnath temple 17 times, and yet every time it was rebuilt. No more!
Our passiveness has been misread as weakness. Hindus world over need to rise up and raise our voice. It is no longer acceptable to be victims of religious violence and terrorism. It is no longer fine to keep doing the same thing and expect a different result. We need to fight as a community and be there for each other, defend each other and leverage our collective might against people who try to harm us or exploit our openness. No more!
Others are not going to come and fight for us and protect us. We have to stand up and do it ourselves. The future has to be different!
