Remember those days back in India when we would wake up to the sound of আহ্বান to Ma Durga, which reverberated in every home on the morning of Mahalaya. Durga Puja had announced its arrival and it was time for celebration!
We are marking this occasion by putting together a stupendous effort, thanks to a band of dedicated and talented devotees to render Birendra Krishna Bhadra's script with our own Kali Mandir touch!

Mahisasura Mardini as recited by Shri Bhadra, is a remarkable piece of audio drama that has few peers in our subcontinent culture. Though the theme is mythical and the mantras are from শ্রী শ্রী চণ্ডী, this program is a landmark composition. As the recital begins, the serene morning air resonates with the long drawn sound of the sacred conch shell, immediately followed by a chorus of invocation, যা চণ্ডী মধুকৈটভাদিদৈত্যদলনী.... melodiously setting the stage for the recitation of the নারায়ণীস্তুতি, “দেবী প্রপন্নার্তিহরে প্রসীদ,প্রসীদ মাতর্জগতোহখিলস্য।
