Family Retreat Update

Dear Family:

Assalam walaikum.

 

We are one month away from our annual retreat.  We’re all very excited and we just wanted to get everyone up to speed.  The only people on this email are those who have confirmed their commitment to attend.  From here on out, you can expect regular communication via this email group.

 

Just as a reminder the dates are

Arrival: Thursday May 29^th – arrival in the evening

Departure: Sunday June 1^st – departure in the morning

To Do:

In future emails we’ll provide more information on the kinds of items families should bring, how we’ll separate the rooms, etc.  For now, we have to get started on buying the food and supplies for the retreat.  We are requesting everyone to submit a $100 deposit per paying individual in order to help pay for this.

Payment Information

What is a paying individual?  If you are 13 years old or older, you are a paying individual.  Our children who are younger than 13 are free of charge.  They’re just not allowed to eat food or play games… just kidding.

 

We calculate all the expenses at the end and divide the cost evenly amongst all paying individuals.  This year, we’re estimating around $175 per paying individual.  This number may fluctuate, but I wanted to at least give a ballpark figure.  We have 32 paying individuals.
