Hello Iceracers,
A quick check of the lakes this past week finds the ice a little thin, we'll keep checking and keep you updated!
Just a reminder of AMEC'S upcoming Speedway Autocross, if your interested in running the information is below, if your interested in working just show up Sunday and your guaranteed a job.
Monday the 13th is the monthly AMEC meeting at Partners Pub in Johnstown at 7:30 pm just a few things to discuss. We also need to set up a rules committee, we need to pick a night or afternoon on a weekend to meet. Looking at the calendar the first weekend or second weekend in July would work, Let's get it on the books and get it done. If you can't make a meeting and there's something you want to bring up at a meeting or for the rules let us know.
With the low car count that we've had the last couple of years now is the time to start recruiting your fellow racers at the summer events to come out and joins us on the ice, even if you have call them a Nancy or a Sally to shame them to come out once they try it we've got'em or Free hot chocolate to the first 20 new racers or what ever works.

AMEC SPEEDWAY AUTOCROSS NEWS
Hi All,
Just a reminder the first AMEC Speedway Autocross of 2011 will be held in just 11 days, Sunday June 12th.
Online registration is open at http://icerace.motorsportreg.com remember its $40 to register on line until Friday June 10th after that it is $50 at the front gate the day of the race.
It is $5 for spectators to enter the pit area but it is free to go into the main grandstand. Everyone must sign the insurance waiver to enter the pit area.

We may have a sponsor for class championship trophies at the end of the season so if you run well at all 4 Speedway Autocrosses this summer you may win a year end class champions trophy. We will be keeping a simple points system for each class and event.
So far the 8 cars signed up are going to get in a lot of runs so come out and have some fun at the track! The gates open at 8AM Sunday June 12th we hope to see you all there!
