NYFAA Spring Recruitment Team
Seeking 5 interested alumni candidates to participate on spring
recruitment team. Position should be filled by January 31, 2011. The
responsibility of the spring recruitment team is to identify key
college fairs to attend within the spring. Goal is to attend 4-6
college fairs. Recruitment team members will work with current
recruitment team members for guidance and liaison with Fisk
Admissions. Chief activity is attending 4 college fairs and passing
out Fisk literature at recruitment table. Interested parties should

NYFAA Pre-Freshman Wrap Luncheon
As a way to meet and greet newly incoming Fisk students into the Fisk
Family. The NYFAA host a luncheon for newly incoming students.
Luncheon usually takes place the first weekend of August. Seeking a
Chairperson and assistant to coordinate Pre-Freshman Wrap Luncheon.
The coordinator is responsible for coordination of luncheon, sending
out invitations to new incoming students and making reservations at
restaurant to host luncheon. Position should be filled by February 28,

2012 GAAFU, Inc. Eastern Regional, New York City
Seeking 3 interested alumni candidates to work with GAAFU and
respective eastern regional presidents in planning and executing the
2012 Eastern Regional convention in New York City. The planning
committee wll solicit assistance from alumni associations within the
east coast to assist the committee. Three key committee members
should consist of (i.) a public relations / marketing specialist,
(ii.) finance / business administration specialist, and (iii.) a
program planning specialist. Position should be filled by April 30,

2011 GAAFU, Inc. Bi-Annual Alumni Convention, Nashville TN
The Bi-Annual Alumni Convention is a vital source of information for
alums to understand the current state of Fisk University. Seeking 5
interested alumni from the east coast area to establish an education
committee that will promote the significance of participating within
the Bi-Annual Alumni Convention held in October 2011 at Fisk
University. As reunion time is associated with fun and re-connecting
with friends, the Bi-Annual Alumni Convention is where the business of
Fisk is comprehensively discussed and decisions communicated. A
public relations / marketing specialist is required to provide
guidance on means to communicate / educate alumni on the importance of
becoming involved with Fisk University (Longevity and securing fiscal
accountability). Alumni delegates who are in good standing with the
GAAFU can vote during this alumni session. Alumni delegates meet with
the President, Administrators, and other stewards of Fisk University
to better understand the current status of the institution and its
infrastructure. Position should be filled by May 31, 2011. Interested
