Subject: Fwd: Modifications to the Digest Tab
Hi Everyone,
Based on what John said in the meeting yesterday, the NY team came up with potential modifications to the Digest tab.
Currently, it is just a series of pages or posts of news summaries by Practice Area that gets updated on a regular basis. We were thinking of moving this content to the Industry News section, and turning the tab into the following:
1. Changing the name to "Reader" - John didn't like the tab name "Digest". We think that "Reader" is more intuitive.
2. Having two subsections under "Reader" - Legalese and Street View.
3. Legalese would explain the legal aspect of popular/interesting cases in layman's terms. This would be divided by Practice Area (Constitutional, Corporate etc.)
4. Street View would have users post law and policy related events going on around them. They can post before the event (urging everyone to go and maybe even forming a group to go with through the site) and after the event (describing their experience at the event). For now, it would be us Interns attending/posting events.
Let us know what you think and discuss next steps. If its easier, we can also do a Hangout to go over this.
Thanks,
Christina, Robbin, Sameer, Salome and Winston
