I am a Sourcer with Mastech and would like to check your availability for a project we have. Please find the details below:

Position Title: Data Architect
Location: Jersey City, NJ
Type of position: Contract
Duration: 4 months

Skills Required:
Experience in business requirements analysis, data analysis, developing Conceptual Model, Logical and Physical Data Models.
Experience in financial services industry preferably in Asset Management
Developing Entity Relationship diagrams and the Dimensional Data Models.
Strong knowledge of Data Warehouse Architecture and Design
Using ERWIN or any other tool creating the Star and Snow Flake Schemas
Documenting the data models including the entity and attribute definitions, business rules, and data domains
Creating and maintaining a data dictionary
Work closely with the users and the developers
Manage the various versions of the data models using the Model Mart
Physicalize the data models for optimal implementation
Conduct capacity planning and estimates for storage in various environments
Strong multiple years experience with writing and testing SQL queries and stored procedures preferably in DB2 UDB environment. Query plan analysis and recommendations for query optimization
Experience in Data Warehouse , Data Marts, and OLAP
Good analytical, communication, and problem solving skills
Skills in database monitoring, analysis, and performance tuning
Team oriented and meet the deliverables in a timely manner
Experience in creating and managing the databases and supporting the developers
Familiarity with DBArtisan, DB2 Command/Control Center, TOAD, or any other DBMS tools
A Bachelors Degree in computer science or other related fields
Four to five years experience in Data Modeling, Data Architecture, & DBA functions
Ability to see big picture while being detail oriented and able to see and maintain the alignment between the two.
Experience with high volume high performance database systems preferred
