I'm attempting to build a 4x4x4 or a 5x5x5 cube in RGB, and to make it
interactive. My question to all of you at NYCR is this: does anybody
have a wiring diagram or some up-close images of the wiring of the
matrices? Everywhere I go, it seems as though it is assumed by the
reader as to how to make one. Also, after pouring over page after page
of cubes, i still can't quite tell if each LED has a wire leading to
the microcontroller, It seems on Bre's board that this was not the
case, but I do not see how it would be possible how to light a single
LED only using inputs on the bottom layer.
This is my first major project in circuitry, and will be the first
time I will ever use a microcontroller. If anybody has any other
advice, I would gladly accept it. I may be posting rather often here
about the project, as this seems to be the only place I can find with
knowledgeable people.
Sorry for my ineptitude on the topic of LEDs, microcontrollers, and
electrical engineering in general, but you all started here too, so
help a newbie out.

PS: Bre, you rock!
