Hi all!
A few of us Resistors are working with a new company called goTenna to build an external hardware radio device that pairs with your smartphone and allows you to send texts and data without using traditional cellphone infrastructure.

The main uses we envision are survival / disaster scenarios, out-of-network activities like hiking or skiing, and private encrypted conversations, but we're still learning how people will want to use it.

The prelaunch site and survey for how you might use the device is live here:
http://signup.gotenna.com/ - if you have a few minutes, your input would be very helpful, and we'll be selecting alpha and beta tests from among the survey takers if you're interested!

Thanks
-Eric

Ah, yeah, the survey link comes in the post-signup mail.
If you'd like to take the survey without being on the pre-launch list, here's the direct link
Thanks!

Took the survey and signed up to be an alpha/beta tester.  As I am the owner of an electronic Engineering company feel free to contact me should you require any extra technical assistance.
