When dissecting other control panel designs to re-invent my own, I've seen these wire labels, which obviously make troubleshooting a LOT easier.

My question: Where can I purchase these labels and/or label makers?

I use a Brother PT-2030VP which takes any TZe tape under 18mm width I think. TZeFX231CS from Staples or Amazon for example is for cables and I'm rather pleased with it. You can do some nice complex formatting with the label printer and it can take either batteries or a plug; the hard case it comes with has room for several tape carts.

We used to buy them from Black Box but that's a bit expensive for personal use.  I googled "laser printed cable labels" and saw several nice options.

Almost any electrical supply house has generic 0-9 and letters on peel off strips
these are usually cloth.
Another source is a P-Touch machine from Brother or
other manufacturers.  Some label makers are specific for this
type of work.

Good luck, Paul

Excellent!  Thanks everyone for not only the suggestions, but the links too (makes it much easier for me to find).

I think I'll purchase the Brother label maker soon, but for the next week or so I'll use either Home Depot or McMaster options.

Thanks again!

THose labels are made by BRADY corporation.  They usually use a special printer but I have used ones that can be printed on a laser printer then wrapped around the wire.  Work awesome, but are expensive.
