I have a project in mind for an antenna. Before I start can someone tell
me if they know of a machine shop with a lath that will turn a part down
in diameter for me? They are 2, round, solid, UHMW plastic rods, one is
2" in diameter and the other is 1.5" diameter. Both are 12" long. One
end needs about 0.5" knocked off the diameter, the other end needs about
0.116" removed. If I was back in High School (a LONG time ago) I could
do it myself on the shop class lath. Thanks in advance. AF2RF

Hi Bennett
I have a couple of lathes that could work but I won't be in town for a couple of days. My shop is at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. You can write me at stevenbrower at verizon dot net if that works for you.

Im an avid ham. Can you toss me some info on the antenna you want to
make? I might be able to help come up with easier and alternate
construction details.

I'm working on a trap vertical for 30-17-12 meters. I'm happy with the
difficulty level of my plan but I am open to suggestions.
