arduino dynamic DNS update client

Has anyone ever thought to use an arduino with Ethernet to update with Dynamic DNS?  My pix firewall doesn’t support DDNS.

That's not a bad idea.  The protocol for updating DNS records via HTTP is fairly straightforward.  And if you don't specify the IP, the DynDNS server will do its best to determine it based on where the update came from.  This could save a lot of coding on your side, assuming it behaves as expected.
