Anyone know where I can go to pick one of these up? NYC is a large
place i dont see why i should need to pay for shipping and wait a few
more days.

call Columbia or CCNY?  Maybe the Ham club at Columbia would know.   you could build the DASA programmer until it arrives.  "avrdude -c dasa -P /dev/ttyS0 -p m328p yourfile.hex" does it for me.  no sudo prefix needed to burn like when using usbtiny.  although dasa when inactive does pull the reset pin low via rts so you have to run a terminal program on the programmer's serial port to force rts high.  hope this was helpful.

We sometimes have those USBTinyISP kits in the RESIStore, but that's only open during public hours at NYCR, e.g. last night's craft night.

Yeah it would be convenient. I work around the corner from her. I always assumed it was one of those work/live spaces and she doesn't want wankers showing up at her place. But what I'd really like is mouser.
