Hi,
Does anyone know if the graphics card on a Macbook Pro 3.1 (2007 vintage) is user serviceable?
My screen starts glitching and then the whole thing locks up. Possibly overheating, but it even happens freshly restarted under low load. Ideas?
Thanks!
Doug

Yup I checked and it's got the recalled graphics card. I think I did it in with my 3D processing project... it sounds like a jet plane every time I run it...
Thanks for the tip!

I have a MacbookPro3,1 and the fans in it always sound like it is going
to take off (and drain the battery pretty quickly). The video card
hasn't failed yet, although sometimes I get odd artifacts on the DVI
output. Maybe I should take it in.
