Hi Group,
I'm liquidating a stalled electric motorcycle project. Client has lost interest and I need these items out of the shop by the end of the month. Batteries are 110 individual foil cells. Any deal needs to be approved by the client but I think any offer will be accepted (possibly including a $0 offer).

You may need to see in person but how would you set the value of the parts?

Parts would be auctioned online. We will have receipt and value is based on price we get. Same way as when you donate a car to School For The Blind.

My concern is that they are pretty esoteric parts. Will they bring any bids at auction?

I think I remember this project well.
Perhaps a problem is that they are worth a great deal to someone doing high-power-drain motoring applications, but likely very little outside of hobbyist opportunity cost (Canal Street pennies on the dollar arranged in the last few seconds of an auction) otherwise.
I’d put up an offer immediately but have seriously degrading health issues. The parts are worth more than I could offer this month. If you opt to go with the donation group, be sure you can use every dollar of the value they assign to the donation, and set the value … I’d set it as current fair market value of the equivalent OTS functional components of comparable capacity.
Please keep the group informed of when the sales would take place … might be interesting to see where the bidding goes and perhaps set some floor bids. Presuming this would be fleaBay and not one of those wretched alternative rookathon sites catering to the ‘charity’ and similar markets.

These are the specs for the battery cells (This is for the CP160-365 I believe I have CP160-360). There are 110 cells.

I thought the client was going to pick these up but he bailed and I need to be out of this location tomorrow. Batteries are now free. Pickup must be today or tomorrow morning. Batteries are at 4402 11th Street LIC NY 11101.
