Happy Festival Week!  The Tribeca Film Festival just kicked off this week (through 4/29), and it's another very NY must-do event.   The Festival came to life 11 years ago with the support of American Express to help revitalize the Tribeca neighborhood - and I think it has done a lot for lower Manhattan.  If anything, it has made it a cooler place to be - so be cool and go!

There are many great films this year, and below are the ones I want to see and when I would see them - if I had unlimited hours in the day and a time machine: ).  Click on the titles for more info and additional screening times.  Tix can be purchased online or at one of 3 venues (see here) - and don't forget about rush tix!

• Wed 4/25 @ 830pm - Booker's Place: A Mississippi Story (this one is a much talked about doc) 
• Thurs 4/26 @ 630pm - Cut (Japanese punching bag)
• Thurs 4/26 @ 7pm - Planet of Snail (an unlikely love story about a Japanese couple; top jury prize @ the Amsterdam film fest)
• Thurs 4/26 @ 9pm - Lola Versus (Learning to be single again at 30)
• Thurs 4/26 @ 930pm - 2 Days in NY (Chris Rock)
• Sat 4/28 @ 3pm - Mansome (Morgan Spurlock and star exec team; doc about mandom/male grooming in America)
• Sat 4/28 @ 330pm - Ballroom Dancer (should be obvious why I want to see this, hehe - about Slavik!)
• Sat 4/28 @ 530pm - Trishna (Tess of the d'Urbervilles-esque (yay HS English); Freida Pinto)
