Fwd: Will Allen and Growing Power at the Brooklyn Rescue Mission this week

Howdy folks.  Some exciting news.

Will Allen of Growing Power will be working with our friends, the Reverends Jackson of the Brooklyn Rescue Mission/Bed-Stuy Farm, to deploy an urban hyrdoponics system on their land this weekend.  Will Allen's inner city farm in Milwaukee produces a million pounds of food a year on 2 acres, employs dozens of people and provides inexpensive healthy, fresh, locally produced food to his community.  Will is now helping other green thumbed community organizers deploy their own Growing Power systems.  The Reverends Jackson are honored to have been chosen to become a ' Growing Power regional outreach training center' and we're honored to be helping out them.

Events are taking place Thursday, Friday and Saturday. They should be a lot of fun.  Tell your friends.

PS.  If you want to go to the workshop but can't afford it let me know and we'll see what we can do.
