Hello Everyone,

I hope you've all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are getting ready to finish up this semester!  Here are some updates concerning the NY district and the Capital Division of Circle K! :)

A. NY District News

1. Welcome to the New Western LTG

At Tri-K Weened, Alex Lin was voted on to serve as the Western Lt. Governor for the remainder of the Circle K year.  Alex is a freshmen from the University of Buffalo!   

2. District Chair Vacancies
Currently the positions of Kiwanis Family Chair and Laws & Regulations Chair are vacant.  If you would like to get more involved on the District level please contact myself or Governor Mike [michae...@gmail.com] for more info!

3. DCON '10 : Start Fundraising NOW

This year is the 50th Anniversary of the NY District!  So DCON is going to be extra special! The theme is "Going Golden : a golden record of service ... Celebrating 59 years of Service, Leadership and Fellowship"

Be sure to mark your calendars with March 19th - 21st!  Plus the convention is going to be right here in Albany, so let's be sure to show NY how AMAZING the Capital Division is! :)

1. Congrats RPI

Congratulations to RPI for being named the "NYCKI Outstanding Club of the Month" for December 2009! Great job everyone! Keep up the amazing work!

E. Upcoming Events


There are lot of upcoming events in the Capital Division so get your calendars out and save theses dates!

1. Captial Divisional Meeting
When: Saturday, December 5th :: 12-2pm
Where: Russell Sage College, McKinstry Student Center in Troy NY
What: come hear about what's going on in the Capital Division, meet some new Circle K'ers and help out with a fun service project!

2. Baby Blanket making for the NICU at Albany Medical Center

When: Saturday, December 12th :: 10am - 1pm
Where: RPI Campus, Student Union 3202 [intersection of 15th St and Sage Ave in Troy NY]
What: help make no-sew fleece baby blankets to be donated to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit! 

3. Key to Colege Program
When: Saturday, December 12th :: 1-3pm
Where: RPI Campus, Student Union 3202 [intersection of 15th St and Sage Ave in Troy NY]
What: help answer questions that our Key Club friends may have about being a college student, applying to school, and anything else they might want to know!

4. Selling Bells for Life
When: Sunday, December 13th :: 10am - 6pm
Where: Crossgates Mall in Albany NY
What: we'll  be selling paper bells to raise money for the Albany KPTC.
