Hello Everyone!

I hope you all had a great weekend! It was awesome to see so many faces at the Van Rensselaer Kiwanis Family Fun Day and Capital Divisional Meeting this past weekend!
For those of you who were unable to attend the divisional here are many of the updates that we talked about:

A. NY District News

1. District Large Scale Service Project (DLSSP)
Friday, September 17 - Sunday, September 19
Utica NY

This year the District Large Scale Service Project will be taking place in Utica! We'll be staying at a church there (sleeping bag style) and the Con-Con Committee Chairs Jess (RPI) and Clare (UAlbany) have a lot of great service projects and fellowship activities lined up for us!

Capital is one of the closest divisions to the site (2hr or less drive depending on school) and it would be great to have a strong representation! :D

For registration information visit the NY District site to register online or download the registration form to email: http://nycirclek.org/dlssp.html

2. Kiwanis Family Committee Application
Are you interested in doing more for the NY District by helping your local Kiwanis Family?  Well than join the Kiwanis Family Committee! Shane Stuart of the UAlbany club is the committee chair and is looking for Circle K'ers interested in promoting the Kiwanis Family within her/his home division!

If you're interested, download the application!

For more information about the Kiwanis Family, check out Shane's July newsletter!

3. NYCKI Purple / Broadway t-shirts
The NYCKI T-shirts worn at International Convention this past summer can be purchased for $10 (sizes S-XL) and $12 (for size XXL).
To see what the shirt looks like click here

Please email me if you are interested in purchasing one.

4. New DUES Structure
The new Dues structure for International is now a club fee.  The fee for most schools (RPI & UAlbany) is $600, regardless of membership numbers.

However, small schools & community colleges (HVCC & Sage) pay a reduced fee of $450.

Please get your checks out to International as soon as you can!
If you have any questions, feel free to contact District Treasurer Nick or Governor Rickie.

Sage Kiwanis Advisor Jean talked about a Chocolate Bar Fundraiser at our Divisional meeting this past weekend and gave info to a representative from each club.  If you're interested in this fundraiser (possibly to help pay dues) feel free to contact me for more info!
