A. NY District News
1. District Vacancies Filled
At NY Speaking, three of the four vacancies on the District Board were filled!
Congratulations to all those were approved!

2. Call for DCON '10Save the weekend of March 19 - March 21! That's when the annual District Convention will be held!
What's
DCON? It's similar to NY Speaking in that there are a lot of workshop
to better you as a member or officer, on-site service projects, fun
dances, and the chance to meet a lot of awesome people / reconnect with
those you have already met at past District events!
The difference is that there are also elections on who the new District
Board of Officers will be and voting on proposed amendments to our
bylaws.
What's
so special about this year? Well it's NYCKI's 50th Anniversary DCON!
So there will be a lot of really awesome alum there!
Plus the convention is RIGHT HERE in ALBANY! So it would be great if we have a strong representation there!
3. NY Speaking Edition of Circling the Empire

1. Food Bank Service ProjectSaturday, November 2st :: 12:30-2:30pm
Latham Food Bank, Albany-Shaker Rd, Latham
There are only 25 volunteer spots so please email me if you would like to attend!
2. Key to College ProgramSaturday, December 12th :: 1-3pm
RPI Student Union, Room 3202
This
is a program for Key Clubbers from the Capital region and is designed
to answer questions that these high school students might have about
college applications and going to college.
Attached is a flyer!
Prior to the program we will be making
no-sew baby blankets to donate to the NICU at Albany Medical Center.
It will be in the same location from 10am-1pm.
Stop by and join in on the service project!!
3. Capital Chit Chat out soon
The next edition of Capital Chit Chat will be out soon! Keep an eye out!
C. Club News1. Sage Bread SalesSage is selling breads still! Orders are due in on Wednesday this week! Attached is a form!
2. RPI Apple Pie Sales
the RPI club is selling pies to raise money for Adopt-a-Family in Troy! Homemades pies are $15 each and will be distributed the Monday & Tuesday before Thanksgiving!
3. HVCC Toy Drive
HVCC will be conducting a toy drive to help out with the Holiday Hope program. Support them if you can!
D. Reminders
1. Dues
Dues are due by November 30th!! So far RPI is the only club in NY to have sent in their dues. Congratulations RPI!
