I hope you're having a great wrap-up to March! I can't believe that the new Circle K year is almost here (April 1 is just a few days away)!
I want to thank all of you who helped to make the 2009-2010 service year an amazing one in Capital! :) All your hard work and dedication have truly done awesome things and I know the upcoming service year will be witness to even more outstanding feats!

A. NY
District News1. New 2010-2011 Executive Board!
The new executive board was elected at DCON the weekend of March 19-21.
Congratulations to all those who were elected & endorsed:
District Governor : Rickie Santer from Adelphi Univeristy
District Secretary : Carolyn Frantz from University at Albany
District Treasurer : Nick Papetti from RPI
District Editor : Jenn Yong from Adelphi University
Endorsement for International Office : Mike Zebrowski from NYU
Endorsement for International Representative : Josephine Lukito from SUNY Geneseo
2. Committee Chair Positions!
Applications for Committee Chair positions within the NY district will be out shortly. Be on the lookout for those! If you want to become more involved on the District level, applying for a position is a great way to do so!
* Because they are appointed positions, even club officers can apply. :)
B. Capital
Division News
1. CKI Service Week in Capital
Latham Food Bank! on Thursday, April 8th from 6pm - 8pm

2. Kiwanis One DaySaturday, April 10th from 10am - 12pm
We'll be helping to clean up & make trails in Frear Park in Troy, NY
3. April Divisional Meeting
Sunday, April 18th from 2pm - 4pm at Russell Sage College.
Come hear more about what's going in the Capital Division, meet some awesome Circle K'ers, share ideas about what's going on in your club, and help out with a service project!

4. Divisional Positions
There are three positions within the Capital Division available to any dues-paid member.
They are Division Secretary, Division Project Chair, and Division Webmaster.
Applications are attached or can be downloaded below. They contain more information regarding each position & how to apply.
All applications are DUE by Wednesday, May 5th!
5. March for Babies WalkSunday, April 25th at the Crossing at Colonie
registration begins at 9am and the walk begins at 10am. It should be done around noon, so U Albany CK'ers don't worry, you won't miss Fountain Day festivities! :)
C. Club News
1. U Albany Kiwanis One Day Activities
Saturday, April 10th from 3pm - 5pm
We'll be making t-shirt dog bones for the animal shelter & no-sew fleece blankets in addition to some fellowship activities!
2. RPI Relay for Life
Friday, April 23rd 6pm - Saturday, April 24th 6am
Come join the RPI Relay for Life team!
D. Kiwanis Corner
1. Kiwanis One Day in the Van Rensselaer Division
Lt. Governor Noreen has scheduled a Kiwanis One Day event at the Latham Food Bank for Saturday, April 10th from 12:30 - 2:30 pm.
If you're interested in attending, please let me know! She only has a few spots available for Circle K'ers and is trying to get the entire Kiwanis Family present!
