Capital Updates for December-January

Hello Everyone, 

Happy New Year! I hope you're all enjoying a little break from classes & school work and are preparing yourself for a new semester filled with Circle K activities!

Here are some updates going on within Capital & the NY District! 

A. NY District News

1. District Convention 2010

This year is the 50th Anniversary of the NY District!! So come out and join us for a the best way to celebrate the anniversary of our mighty district ... at District Convention 2010!! 

Save the date of March 19th - 21st at the Crowne Plaza in Albany.  Since we're so close, it'd be great to have a large representation from the Capital Division, so start fundraising now!!

2.  NYCKI Awards applications 

The NYCKI Awards packet is out!  There are over 20 awards for individuals and clubs, so if you know of anyone who is deserving of an award be sure to fill out an application for him or her.  There is no limit to the number of applications you send in, so nominate all those you feel are qualified!!

3. NYCKI Distinguished Member program

There is also a program to recognize those members who go above and beyond.  If you meet the criteria for applying for Distinguished membership, definitely apply!!

B. Capital Division News

1. December edition of Capital Chit Chat

Attached is the latest edition of Capital Chit Chat.  There's a lot of useful information within the newsletter, so please take a look through it!

2. Children's Health Service Update

Currently RPI is in the lead for the number of service hours per member focusing on children's health.  But there is still time to plan service projects before DCON to get in more hours!! :)

3. February Capital Divisional Meeting

Save the date for the first Capital Divisional Meeting of the spring semester: Saturday, February 6th 1-3pm at the HVCC Campus in Troy NY

More info will be sent out later this month!

D. Reminders

More division-wide projects are being planned, so stay tuned for those!
