May 30th Meeting at NYTimes: Realtime

Coming up for May, I'm happy to announce our next meeting on the 30th at 19:00 [0]. The New York Times is hosting again [1] so well need an RSVP at rs...@nycjavascript.com (just send your name and we'll make sure you're on the list, we'll send a confirmation and reminder a little before the actual event).

This month we have three presentations and as usual, we follow those with an open floor for lighting talks and demos. First we'll have Patrick Leahy speaking on Socket.IO [2]. Second, I will demonstrate why EventSource [3] is an interesting alternative for getting realtime server sent events. Finally we have Domenic Denicola who will walk us through the ins and outs of Object.defineProperty [4]. Finally, we have all of you guys. Bring a laptop and something to show and we'll return the favor with a good audience.
