Hello all!

I'm happy to announce that Nodejitsu will be the official sponsor of the New York City Node Knockout HQ this year!

We've got a few teams coming already and welcome anyone who is participating in the event or just interested in general to come on down!

We have room for a bunch more people, but if you want to reserve a spot please rsvp to in...@nodejitsu.com

There will be pizza and beer and soda and perhaps cake. We will also have some of the top node.js developers in the area on call for questions and help (if they have not eaten too much beer and cake). Hopefully, we will be broadcasting video updates through the course of the event to highlight each teams progress.

Date: August 28th-29
Time: We will be starting around noon on Saturday the 28th and ending sometime Sunday night.
Location:

The space that we have reserved is top-notch: T3, private offices for teams right in the center of downtown Manhattan.

Look forward to seeing some of you there.

Cheers,
Charlie

Nice, unfortunately I have a prior engagement.

Fortunately however, the nodebodies are going to pwn the school on this one.. watch out nodejitsu, the big boys are in town!

All jokes aside, I can't wait to see what comes out of this <excited>.  Even if you aren't participating in node knockout, you should still check this out as nodejitsu definitely knows how to throw a javascript party.

Of course you should come join us!

If anything, it could be a great learning experience to get you started. As a solid client-side JS person, I think you will find node.js very intuitive and easy to use.

I'm pretty solid w/ client-side JS, but haven't done any node.js yet. Still worth me joining? Would I be dead weight?

I don't have a team identified or anything, but I'll show up and see where I can fit in and learn or help.
