High School Student Journalism Retreat for Students

Hi everyone,

It's a pleasure to announce this exciting opportunity for a day of collaboration and learning for all NYC public high school news teams on Monday, May 18, hosted by the UFT High School office and organized by Press Pass NYC and a passionate group of fellow advisers. 

Throughout the day's three sessions, students will be grouped with student journalists from various schools and will share ideas, practices, and teambuilding traditions. Advisers will also be paired with teachers from different schools to learn from one another, as well.

All three sessions are designed to promote collaboration and an exchange of ideas after which students will be able to return to their schools with plans to grow and enhance their school newspapers.

Depending on participant interest, group size may be limited. 

Note, too, that priority will be given to high school news teams for this event, but that another middle school conference is being planned for June.
