Press Pass NYC's Student Advisory Board is excited to announce our first-ever Press Pass NYC Student Journalism Awards and to invite all New York City public school journalists to submit their eligible work.
Winners will receive a certificate and an invitation to Press Pass NYC's End-of-Year Celebration in June.
Requirements
- No AI was utilized in the creation of this work
- This article must be no longer than 1000 words
- The work should be in the AP Style, with little to no grammar/spelling errors
- All sources should be credited, and there should be no editorializing
- Only work that’s been published during the 2025-2026 school year will be accepted; published work should be linked
- Each person can only submit to one category and is limited to one application for that category
- Contestants can choose which category they feel their article best fits into, and the article will be evaluated within the context of that category
Submissions are due by 11:59 PM EST on April 15th, 2026 (the week after Spring Break)
