What participants have said:
"Press Pass NYC has altered my vision of teaching journalism in the high school classroom. It has opened doors for me to meet credible journalists, photojournalists, other high school advisers, and take trips to universities my students and I have never seen. My students have built relationships with journalists from other schools around the city and have created life-long friendships because of Press Pass NYC's opportunities. I have used countless supports and resources that my mentors have suggested as well when planning the curriculum. Press Pass has ultimately changed the game for my students and the success of our newspaper." Virginia M. Forest Hills High School
"The PPNYC Adviser Fellowship gave me a solid foundation to bring journalism to our school community and has enabled our students to report on the issues that matter most to them. Student journalists now prioritize empowering unheard voices and have already brought significant change and dialogue to our school community through their reporting. Thank you, PPNYC, for giving our school community the support it needed to get our program off the ground. Without it, we would never have been able to launch a whole new program with as much buy-in as we received from our school leadership and community." Mark S. Art and Design High School
